Welcome Blazing Family, what a year we had!!!If you want to keep in touch with the Blazing Salads Family, here is a contact list of the crew. (User name and password are realted to your favorite fair food!) I start registration for 2009 in April, so stay in touch and Food Handlers CardsWe are a food booth and serving food that is safe is incredibly important to us. Serving it in the dusty, outdoor environment of the Country Fair makes it even more important that we are ALL diligent in knowing proper and safe food handling procedures. If you have a food handlers card in either Washington or Oregon, great, please bring it along so we can post it for the health inspector. If you don't, you need to get one before the fair!! Luckily for you Lane County has made it incredibly easy and put the manual and the test online and it only costs $10! Blazing Salads will gladly reimburse you the cost of the test. So what are you waiting for? Set aside 20 minutes or so and learn a few things that may apply to keeping your own kitchen safe, as well as those thousands of happy fair goers who eat at Blazing Salads. You can pay online and print out your card at the end of the course on your home computer. Now how cool is that?? FOOD HANDLERS ONLINE CERTIFICATE COURSE Registration InfoHere are some general procedures for getting registered, parked and into the fair. If you are arriving Wed. or Thurs. you must enter the site from Suttle Rd. You should park wherever they tell you to, and go to the registration booth out in the parking lot. Registration will be open 8am to midnight on Wed. and Thurs. IMPORTANT !! at
the registration booth you must stand in the line with the letter of the
last name of your booth rep. Stand in the "A - F " line for Jill
Carter. ParkingI have tried to get as many people as possible to carpool and we can only spread the 12 vehicle stickers we have around so far, so please coordinate with Jill if you still have room in your car. Things to remember to bring • John says, don't forget your flashlights, those
toilets are getting pretty scary in the dark and it seems like lots of
people don’t bring ‘em. The little kind like Mini-Mags that
you can put on a string around your neck or the pocket LED kind are great!!
